Put The Glass Down

by Ken Coscia

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management. He raised his glass of water and asked the audience, “How heavy do you think this glass of water is?”

The students’ answers ranged from 20g to 500gm.

It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is OK. If I hold it for and hour, I will have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you will have an ambulance. It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier is becomes.”

If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier.”

What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again.”

We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on. So before you return home from work tonight, put the burden of work down. Leave it there. You can pick it up tomorrow. Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders let it down for a moment, if you can. Enjoy an Alpha break and regain access to the flow of creative solutions.

Pick it up again later when you have rested… Or Better yet, You may make the time to RENEW Yourself and Deepen Your Understanding and ability to apply Silva in your Life, by attending a Silva Method Program.

We live in a time of extraordinary opportunities and significant challenges, but are we truly experiencing the quality of life we desire? We know that whatever we focus on, we will achieve. The challenge so many of us face, though is in finding balance. Practicing Silva helps you to remain focused on what you really want.
Even the greatest Achievers acknowledge a gap between where they are and where they want to be. Perhaps our businesses or careers are strong, but our intimate relationships are lacking. Or maybe our relationships are flourishing, but our personal finances or physical vitality is suffering. We all have areas of our lives that demand more focus.

Participating in a Silva Method Program is like peeling layers of an onion. There is a continuous unfolding and integration of our unique potential. Each time you practice or review (it’s free), it makes more sense and gets progressively easier. You become more aware of and develop more applications. Your Focus is enhanced. You review not for the information, but for the transformation (physically, mentally, & spiritually) that the training affords you.

All Causation is Mental

The first principle is this. All causation is mental. All causation is mental. That means that everything that you are or ever will be will be as a result of how you use your mind. You are merely a mind with a body to carry it around with. The entire man made world that you see is simply an expression of thought. Your entire life is an expression of your own thinking. And since the quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life, if you improve the quality of your thinking, you must, you will, inevitably improve the quality of your life.

You learn to do this with Mental HouseCleaning and Mirror of the Mind!

The Law of Expectations

The second principle is what we call the law of expectations. This law says that whatever you expect with confidence, positive or negative,
becomes your reality. If you confidently expect to succeed, if you confidently expect to learn something from every experience, if you confidently expect to become wealthy as a result of applying your talents and abilities to your opportunities and you maintain that attitude of confident expectations long enough, it will become your reality. It will give you a positive optimistic cheerful attitude that will cause people to want to help you, and will cause things to happen the way you want them to happen.

During what we call Caseworking (intuitive experiences in class) you will enhance the power of Belief and expectancy!

You are invited to put some of your burdens to rest, enhance your focus, and dramatically energize the Power of Belief & Expectancy by participating in a Silva Method 2 Day Seminar.

Ken Coscia will be teaching a Silva Seminar in the following locations.

As far as burdens, it’s also a matter of perspective. I mean, it’s the way that we carry the burdens too. I imagine that there are people who hang on to their burdens as if holding a glass of water with an outstretched arm.

For myself, I like to believe that I carry my burdens like bottled water in a backpack. This analogy refers to pooling one’s resources closer to the center. Sometimes a solution in one place solves a burden in another, so we want to pool together our resources and burdens. True this method can be like a jigsaw puzzle, but it’s a matter of expanding and enhancing one’s neural pathways to see how things fit together.

This is where Silva Techniques come in; if we believe that someone like Jose Silva would know better how to handle a certain situation, outside of asking him directly, we can use the process of assumption to put on his ‘thinking cap’ thereby accessing his neural pathways.

We all have mentors because they have the knowledge and experience of handling situations better. We can use the Silva Technique of Assumption to access the neural pathways of our mentors — or anyone else for that matter.

I took the course, it was 75.00 back then, in Houston Texas, in the
early l980’s or the late of the l970s. I don’t remember which. I was doing good, and things got so terrible in my househole I stop, I finished the course, and now am a elderly person 74, wanting to get back
in. I was given my secret word to use and I remember the word
that was given me GOD. Do you think I could get back at my age
seeing the white light one more time. I have forgotten so many things
that was said to me, If you want a answer about something that
you really need a answer, do you ask the question, or keep saying
the word God. Please get back with me with email. I would rather
not be posted up with the others just yet.

The SMC technology certainly will help a lot of people, I had the chance of taking it sometime in the 70s, the alpha level is the key factor.I am now only 65 years young, healthy and happy, TQ to SMC and members keep it up

Hi,
Is Ken still doing the Silva session in Southington, CT in Feb, 2008? I didn’t see it listed here. Thanks.

I appreciate all these teachings very much. The only problem I have, is that I am not very dedicated. I have already read the silva mind control sysyem, and I have gone to make some other studies, like special disciplines that go right into your brain and make amazing changes in your life. I’ll appreciate it very much if you send me more information and more tips.
Thank you very much.

1979 Silva graduate while living in Birmingham, Alabama/USA. Silva methodology changed my life. I was ‘stuck’ in my line of work, income and relationships. By going to level, I attracted relationships that were not there before… I mean I met women I never had even seen before. It was magical. Later, when I moved to Florida, and was again relationship-less for a couple of years and working in a temporary position while looking for better, I re-employed Silva and met multiple partners as if from a scene in Harry Potter. Each one taught me lessons… one reminded me to emphathize with others and long discussions with another led me to a new and much more fulfilling career and increased income. While these methods are powerful, it is up to us to employ them and recall our power to affect our universe for the better.

One of my favourite stories. I’m Silva grad since 1983. I have previously written to Ken to thank him for the training I took with him, maybe 1988. I have used the Silva Method tools everyday since, recommended the program, fascilitated it and share anything I can from it. It is the best starting point for anyone. Ken’s lecture was on learning and I have been able to assist so many people, and in fact am currently using, to assist parents to assist their children to learn quicker and easier. Our own children took these tools and became mentors to other children with ease. Take any of the Silva programs with confidence and Thanasis, you were using the tools, they are the way we use our mind naturally, you can repeat Silva any time you want. You will be glad you do:)

I graduated in Michigan in the 70’s and intermittently used it VERY successfully. Repeating the the BLS for free was encouraged (the cost was meant to be covered by new member enrollments, obviously.) ONE REALLY NEEDS THIS REVIEW TO KEEP THE METHOD STRONG.

I’ve moved to New York and this ‘free’ attendance has a $25 charge!! This is not the ‘contract’ we all signed up for. Can you correct this situation here in NYC??

I attended a seminar in Tel Aviv about fifteen years ago,but wasn’t ready to put it into practice. Now I am eighty years old still addicted to mimd wandering and negative thinking, I came across the Silva Method course on the internet and am adopting some of the techniques. Still finding my way.It may yet change the rest of my life!

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article Special Feature: Ken Coscia — Put The Glass Down, but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

I totally believe that the mind is responsible for everything we see around us. I have thought that for a long time , but now even more with the training .
