How Happy Are You? Take This Happiness Test To Find Out!

We want to be happy. Everything we do in life consciously or unconsciously leads to our need to be happy.

I remember when one of my close friends broke the news that she was getting married one day, she was absolutely glowing and she looked so happy, so I had to ask her, "How happy are you?"

She stared at me for awhile and then broke into a smile, "I don't know, I'm just so happy!"

"From a scale of 1 to 10?" I pressured her.

I wasn't surprise she said 110 :)

It's really hard to know how happy or unhappy we are because happiness is a feeling that can never be equated.

Or at least that was what I thought until I found this test.

Recipe #3: The Secret Potion technique, a supremely effective way to make changes.

Picture 1Here’s how it works…

Pick a goal that you want.  Let’s say that you want to reduce the weight around your hips, or you want to stop eating after 7 pm, or you want to feel comfortable speaking in front of groups.

Go to level, 3-1, 10-1, and then visit your laboratory.

In your laboratory, see that there is a shelf with special bottles on it. They are single serving bottles of VERY special potions.

Labeled clearly on the bottles are remedies for whatever goal you have in mind.

You pick up the bottle with the remedy you want, read the label, and you say, “Drinking this will create the change I want, in happy ways for the joyful good of all concerned.”

Then, while at level, drink the potion.  The whole thing.  (Remember, these come in single serving containers.)  Really imagine and feel at level that you are drinking this magic potion.  Imagine the feel of the potion on your tongue, and the sensation and taste as you swallow the entire serving.

Two things about this…
1. You can use this on anything imaginable. A potion for burning fat, a potion for feeling/being more photogenic, for being more confident in a sales setting, for getting free from allergies. ANYTHING you can imagine is do-able with this process.

2. The shelf of potions is never-ending.  In fact, the more you use the potions in your lab, the more available they are.

Silva Secret Recipe #2: Sssshh….Whisper Sweet Somethings To Yourself

Affirmations can be made when you speak to yourself. Some practice positive affirmation by shouting out loud!

Try shouting this out loud:

I WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL!

I WANT TO MEET THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!

I WANT THIS...I WANT THAT...

Now try this again but whisper to yourself:

I want to be successful!

I want to meet the love of my life!

I want this...I want that...

It all works just the same as long as you say it out. No matter how loud or soft they are, when it comes out from your mouth, YOU listen. Mandy Bass returns with another insightful secret recipe that talks about whispers that are heard...

Recipe #2: How to focus your attention on whatever you want while you are at level, so that your programming is more effective AND you make sure that you never "doze off" while going to level again.

This one is SO simple you will be startled, but here it is…

Speak out loud!

Don’t worry, you won’t have to shout or even speak in a normal voice tone (unless you want to!), just a whisper is enough to direct your attention.

Here’s why this works so well…
If I asked you think of something, your mind wanders from one thing to another, finding anything to think about.

If I asked you to think of something red, your brain narrows the focus to things that are red.

If I asked you to think of a red delicious apple just picked from a tree and ripe and delicious, your brain REALLY creates something specific.  You might even picture the apple vividly enough in your mind so that you salivate.

The WAY that your brain knew to create that image was because the language was a guide for the experience. Now here’s the exciting news. You can direct your own experience with YOUR own language spoken aloud.

So, for instance, if you were programming to have 5 new clients, you could literally sit down, and go to level, and start whispering (or speaking aloud, if you have privacy), “I now see myself receiving one call after another, and I see clients being so interested and impressed that they sign up and I see myself adding five new names to my list.  I see them so delighted with my work that they tell their friends how pleased they are, and this spreads positive effects to the community, the state, the country, the world.”

If you were programming to look great in a bathing suit, you could go to level and then literally say (whisper), “I see myself putting on my bathing suit, it fits perfectly and looks great on me, I see myself visiting the beach, and people are noticing how wonderful I look.”

When doing Mirror of the Mind, describe in detail the white-framed image and keep describing it.  The more you describe, the more your brain is going to find more details about that image, which makes the image come alive in your mind with vividness and clarity!

Let your OWN words direct the inner movies you see at level.   It’s easy and it works!

How to Supercharge The Mirror of the Mind…

iStock_000009923176XSmallHave you ever noticed that sometimes you use Mirror of the Mind and you get great results, and then other times the results are lagging?  Usually if the results don’t happen as pictured you at least get some feedback that lets you know if you are on the right track or not. But then other times you have no feedback whatsoever.

Jose gave some advice about this a few years ago to Carolyn Deal, a Silva instructor in North Carolina.  He told her how to make Mirror of the Mind work better, especially when it’s a very important personal project.

What’s the secret?

Hold the white-framed image in mind for 12 minutes.

Now, 12 minutes might seem like a long time, and you might think that your attention will wander or could wander if you try to hold it on your goal image for that long. But do the best you can. The longer you picture the goal, the better.

The steps of Mirror of the Mind are…
1. Go to level with the 3-1, 10-1 method

2. See the problem situation in a blue-frame and make a good, careful study of the challenge. This is a mental picture of what you DON’T want.

3. Next to the blue frame image, see the SOLUTION image in a white frame and erase the blue framed image for good (and never ever picture that blue frame image again!)  The white-framed image is a picture of what you DO want. Whenever you think about the project, picture the white-framed solution image only.

4. If this is a really important project, and you want to energize your programming, do your best to keep your attention on that white-framed image for 12 minutes, or as long as you comfortably can.
