My Thanksgiving Message To You

Thanksgiving is around the corner and it’s time to count our blessings and remind ourselves of just how beautiful life is.

One of the very best ways to do this, of course, is through the simple act of being grateful, which we all know is the most important step to changing our lives for the better.

Not many of us realize this but being grateful involves making a choice, changing your perspective and considering the implications involved. Listen to the rest of my Thanksgiving message below:

Before I leave you to ponder, I want you to promise me that you’re going to make it your daily habit to list down all the things that you’re grateful for in your life, what you have and want and what you don’t have and don’t want.

Did you know that people who express gratitude daily are 20% happier?

So I encourage you to start making gratitude, not a yearly ritual, but a daily one. Make it one of the first things you do when you wake up or before you go to sleep.

It’s fun, it will inspire you, promote good health and help make you a better person!

I tool I use is Gratitude Log also known as the happiest place on the internet!

Better and Better,
Laura

PS: You can even invite your family and friends to ‘follow’ you on Gratitude Log, so get them on the bandwagon and start making happy today!

    Hello Laura,

You are right about what each one of us should be grateful for what we have. (Right now, my hands are sprayed and so is my back.) I have been trying to get rid of things that I have and substitute it with things that have an action.
I want to make baby blankets with fleece and crochet edge.
I want to make that goal and life plan , that is difficult but I will start with one action dily for 30 days.

    Thanks.
    Polly

    Laura,
thank you for your timely message, I liked it very much…
I found today at the start of a new course I am giving to seniours on how to find happiness in nature rather than sitting beside the phone to wait for the children to call.…
they are on the way to be very grateful for beeing ABLE to get out there, be healthy enough, have enough to feed themselves, be happy to be with each other and me? I am sooooo happy to just watch over them and make sure we will stay in that magic place.…if not forever, but for as long as possible.
    Thank you Laura
    Much Love
    Olga

    Laura,

We can choose to be grateful.…” How true!
Thanks for reminding me to express gratitude everyday. I started a grateful journal but discontinued and I feel ashamed to say I don’t know why I discontinued. I promise I will resume writing my journal — right now.

a very intersting and encouraging letter on gratitude. I say it to God while waking up in the morning and after going to sleep on bed and I mean it but probably I do not feel inner joy and happiness for being grateful for which I am sorry. I will defintely try to feel inner joy while thanking to God and will not superficial onwards.I admit it.
