Makes me smile and be grateful…

Here is a Beautiful Blog Post from a Silva Instructor.

Happy Spring,

This is one of the best things that makes me grateful to be an instructor for the Silva Method. I get phone calls like this every once in a while and it always makes my heart smile.

This lady just called from San Antonio. She and her husband first took the Silva Method class decades ago. They value the impact it has had on their lives from using the Silva Method techniques so much that they are coming to this next class and bringing their grandson who is 19 years old and heading off to college. She told me that she will do anything to provide her grandson advantages in life. Great grandmother.

He will have mind skills that will help him study better by increasing retention, recall and comprehension. Plus he will have the unparalleled Silva Test-Taking Method that allows someone to get the answer to a question even when it is apparently forgotten. Those will help him to excel in college. As his life develops he will have the option to retake the class to deepen his use of the mind skills so as to better adapt to life’s changing situations and to create his life.

Recently I had a call from an older gentleman who sounded like one of the Texas ranchers I grew up around. He said that he had taken the Silva Method class decades ago and how it had impacted his life over these years. He wants to put his granddaughter through the class so that she can have a leg up in life. Note: I need a few more parents who want this for their children, ages 7 to 11 or so, to make this class happen.

Another woman I met here in Austin said her parents took her to take the class when she was 16 years old. I asked her to tell me how it had impacted her life. She said, as a result of these skills, that her self confidence was always strong when she embarked on any new venture. She also said that her sense of knowing herself was deeper so that she feels like she made better life decisions.

I, personally, am grateful that my older half-brother introduced this to me when I was in high school. I was able to finally take it once I had my first job out of college. I was living in Indonesia and took the class in Malaysia. Immediately it made me stand out as an engineer working in the jungles of Borneo in Indonesia; management noticed my improvements. As a field engineer I was able to diagnose and solve problems quicker than before because my creative mind had been awakened and trained to be useful to me as a logically-trained engineer. I was able to stay awake, alert and functioning in days of working without sleep… and… more.

These are great classes that immediately have an impact, sometimes subtle and sometimes obvious. Then with continued practice of the skills and occasionally retaking the classes a person’s depth of awareness is enhanced, mental skills and agility markedly improves and life gets better and better.

    Laura,
i would like to ask you for a favour. i am an architectural designer, 67 years old, suffering the consequences of a stroke that i had 30 years ago, that has left me paralysed on one side, just recently, i have produced a pinched nerve in my neck, which is causing some major discomfort, semi retired, and hating it, very desirous of getting back to work. this new course of yours appeals to me, and seems to offer the opportunity to get my life back on track. could you please let me know if there is any chance of providing me with a scholarship; my finances are so tight right now that i would have to put eating on hold for two weeks in order to purchase this course, a thought that makes my stomach rebellious with fear. thank you, Nicholas
PS. i mailed ths letter to you several days ago and recieved no answer; i don’t know that this was due to your negative response or my negative tone. i would appreciate an answer since you are the road to my success.

IVE BEEN DOING THE CENTERING LESSON NOW FOR TWO WEEKS AND LAST NIGHT I GOT A BIT OF A FRIGHT, I WAS SO RELAXED FOR THE SECOND TIME THAT I EXSPERIANCED SOMETHING IM NOT SURE OF.
MY WHOLE BODY WENT SUDDENLY WARM AND IT WAS LIKE A BRIGHT LIGHT WAS SUDDENLY SWITCHED ON, I WAS IN THE DARK WITH EYES CLOSE AND STILL AWARE OF THE LESSON BEING PLAYED, I STAYED LIKE THAT FOR A FEW SECONDS BUT THEN I KIND OF PANICED AND OPENED MY EYES. IS THIS NATURAL BECAUSE I WAS SO CALM BUT I FELT SO STRANGE. CAN YOU LET ME KNOW IF THIS IS HOW IT SHOULD BE OR SOMETHING WAS NOT QUITE RIGHT WITH ME. THANKYOU
    LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR REPLY.

Is there any scope for those who do not have internet access to undergo Silva method training? If there is any help I am interested to work out for an introductory session in Our place , which is located in Visakhapatnam (andhra pradesh, India)

I sent my wife and four daughters to Silva Method after taking the Basic Level Course in 1998. They showed me what they learned and vice versa. Our lives have been positively changed in so many ways, I cannot imagine life without what we’ve learned. I have also recommended it to at least 50 people since.

I have been using the Silva Method for a couple of months now. I see improvements already, especially in my relationship with my husband. I have noticed an improvement in my mood and a decrease in my anger level, especially when I go to level regularly.
I have noticed though, that something in me resists going to level daily and using the techniques. It seems like at some level I avoid doing what I know will bring me freedom and success in many areas. I am trying to find what the block is and how to remove it. Any ideas?

I started using the Centering Audio 3 days ago. Today, after entering Level 1, I saw clearly (as if my eyes were open) a wood floor below me and was looking down at it, felt a new sensation – can’t really describe it at this time,(kind of like movement) and it only lasted for a brief second. Had the feeling I was someplace… then, kind of suddenly snapped back out of it. Also felt sort of surprised by this sight and feeling, but reassured myself that it’s okay and was able to stay calm and in the lesson.
I’ve practiced meditation for many years — of and on, but have never experienced something like this and would like to understand more about it.
