Dear Silva Team, I didn’t answer the survey yet, I want time to process the whole information, but what I want to share with you is that most of what I’ve heard in the lessons makes just perfect sense, being positive, believe in yourself, clear what are your goals. I do believe that is for the better of the humanity, from the micro to the macro, if I’m a clean grain of sand.…that helps to have a cleaner beach at the end. The technics are helping me slowly but surely to gain my center and to reinforce my self again, thanks a lot.…being better and better
cheers and have a great day

Your answers are fine for some people, but others I don’t think so. Is it possible that some people cant get to level like some people can not be hypnotized. I am remaining positive expecting results for several weeks now. Should I go throgh the 10 CD’s again and again before I see or feel results?

    Dear Laura,

thanks so much for this initiative. The Silva Method is so easy and straightforward but still this feedback is very, very helpful, esp. question one. What I felt as lack of concentration, always has disheartened me when practising.

And I personally also think testimonials very motivating, if people describe how they achieved what I ever dreamt of, that is just great. I have practiced for almost one year and had a big uplift in my life in minor things which makes my life nice and smooth. But I have not yet had managed to really stick to it so as to make my big dreams come true. Your message has helped me a lot and hopefully really keeps me going ;-) ). Thanks loads, Laura,

Very good.Almost everyone has negative thoughts running around in our heads. They are like children that have no desciple running amock. They are a wanting to be allowed into creation. We created them sometime and now they are a nucience; like flies. We crreated them from our early learned behavior. When We were modeling our authorities. Now we are learning to be aware of what we valued in the passed. We identified with them. Now we have to become responsible for our own mis-awareness. Identify the culprets and give them no value. Become in Charge of your inner feelings. Then one can meditae more delibretly.

Wonderful! I use the same technique. When I tell others about it, not everyone resonate with it. So I also use other words; cancel = delete or reset. Many computer users like using delete.

Also doing our best in reducing the use of the words: don’t, not, no. (Ex. “Don’t forget” TURN it around and say “Do remember”). If someone complaines (could be yourself) and says ex. “I don’t want that in a relationship”. Then ask them (yourself): “What do you want?”. And change it around to positive.

Meditate / think about what you do want. It’s ok to notice the things that you do not want in life, but only to bring the desires of what you are wanting. If we think about only the things we don’t want (worry) and add our emotions to it, well that’s what we’ll create. “What we think about comes about”.

Law of attraction can be used very effectively in the alpha state. There are many other things to learn; deliberate creating and allowing it to happen. The later part is the hardest to learn, since that is were our old and negative beliefs comes in. Silva method is a great tool for that as well.….. or combine it with others.

You have to find what works for you. What resonates the strongest is what works the best. (Go from your heart). For myself, I “found” EFT, learned it well, so now I can use it while in alpha level and I get a double whammy.

Wishing us all the best that life has to offer! = )

Again. Words to live by. I love your point pertaining to the question, “what is not working”. I can only use myself as an example. I will meditate in the morning, then go out into the world for a day and get thrown around by the business world, angry drivers in traffic, etc… I will walk through the door full of stress and worry and have to identify the cause of my tension. My point is this: If you don’t identify a problem in your life, how can you work to correct and overcome it? If you are depressed, angry, hurt, confused, etc… Identify the cause or causes. The Silva Methods are superb for clearing the fog and allowing the inner “I Am” to speak clearly. Problems and causes of problems are seldom easy to recognize. With a bit of time and practice, the Sylva Methods will help you create your ideal life. Great Stuff!

I agree with the cancel thoughts and give them no value. LAURO that is real feed back on your quote: “Now we have to become responsible for our own mis-awareness. Identify the culprets and give them no value. Become in Charge of your inner feelings. Then one can meditae more delibretly.” That was very helpful for me. We are constantly meditating whether its for the good or for the bad… Like worry is a form of meditation. What ever we worry about has more of our concious and sub-conscious realestate… Thanks for the tips this was major blessing for me. God has me on a journey where I am becoming more aware of my purpose and how we were created and what we all are here for…

Thank you for reminding me of all four of these points. Sometimes I know I overlook just how easy some things are, especailly the cancel-cancel routine of negative thinking. It really does work just as you describe it and I use it quite often lately… Things were not going real good lately but they are turning around now. I do meditate every day and it has helped me a lot.

    Thank you:

I gratuated the Silva Mind Control course in the 70’s when I was young and not smart enough to continue the practice. Ray Glau was a friend and a great teacher of the Silva method. Now I am 80 and I have been trying meditation for three years using different methods but making little progress. Fours ago I had spinal surgery. While this corrected my back problem, it created new back problems which limits much of my activities, including meditation. The reason is that my back problem does not allow me to relax while standing or sitting down. The only time I can relax my body and mind is to lay down for about 20 minutes. When I try meditation laying down I often fall asleep. I have made some progress in that I do not worry about my health as much as I used to. I have more love and compasion not just to my family and friends but to every one I meet. I work at never judgeing others. While I still need to improve in other areas, I am more at peace with myself. Where I lack progress is finding relief for my back problem through meditation. I have exhausted all medical procedures without success. I accidentally ran into a Silva Ultramind System ad recently and I downloaded the Silva Centering meditation excercise which I enjoy very much. I dont know who will read this but I would welcome with much appreciation any tips or advise that will help me meditate better and reach my goal of healing myself and others.

Hi, first of all I think the Silva Method offers one the best meditation ways in the west.

There are three ways to deal with negativity or problems:

    1) just observe your thoughts and feelings and completely accept them as they arise and pass. This needs a lot of patience, awareness and self-love to be able to let everything be the way it is and let it change the way it does. In this approach, you don’t cancel anything but let be everything :-)

    2) If you want to solve a *specific* problem, you often need a specific individual solution and approach that is appropriate for you individually.
That’ s what Prof. Sonja Lyubomirsky says and I also agree with the statment of Mike Sandmann about finding the cause.

Each negative trait serves a positive purpose — what makes it negative is that these aspects of ourselves usually are formed as subconscious responses. Delve deeply into the negative item and try to uncover the positive purpose that lies at its root. Then craft for yourself a more positive way of meeting this root need, one that is a fully conscious choice instead of a subconscious habit.” Rawn Clark

In this approach, nothing has to be cancelled, but you rather transmute a bad habit or negativity into a more positive way that has already been there but not yet discovered. That’s what a good psychologist does, too.

3.) You can practise a *general* positive attitude. For example in Shaolin Qi-Gong or Tao Yoga, we often relax, let go of tensions and smile from the heart. I think, Laura Silvas “recognition — cancellation — substitution” works in a similar direction, too. This can bring a lot of positive energy into your life and also helps to change your life for the better.

Hi Laura, love your techniques but at time find I want more healing in my heart and situation I am living in.…I am thinking of doing your course this year.…

Find the online course that there is too much talking in the audio meditation it would be so easier to reach alpa if there was less talking that is only my opinion.…..

It is great to see all these answers and people’s responses!

As I understood from the others’ life experiences (and of mine, too) when somebody is motivated (has a disease, experiences huge difficulties etc) she/he obtains the best results. Once again, when practicing the Silva method the most important is to have a high level of motivation and to really be aware of what you want to achieve and to be convinced of the necessity of the results! Otherwise either you do not obtain any result, or tey simply are like your thoughts: evasive.

I also consider as very important to find the best way and keep a high level of motivation when we life our normal life, outside the Silva courses, because, like the physical exercises, if we do not practice for longtime it would be very difficult to restart!

Thanks once more for the opportunity to share my experience and learn from the others …

    Dear Laura
Two fact I have learnt from your answers 1.Generalisation will not work. We have to be specific. 2.We must practise replacement technic because negative thoughts will keep reccuring. Thanks a ton for same. Again your answers were precise and to the point.

The cancellation method is absolutely stunning Laura. That’s a fabulous advise. I’m only 21 but my mind is still filled with emotional and mental negativity. It’s not my fault i’ve faced lot of negativity in my life that’s why negative thoughts keep hitting me in every step of my life. But it’s time that i take a step forward and stop the negative thoughts by “cancell cancell” as you advised. Thanks Laura

Laura´s responses have helped me to focus on positive images to assist me with my goals. The Silva programme has been of great assistance to me in facing health challenges. I am presently in Spain and have brought my Silva tapes and the home study programme with me. I will return to Canada via England in May after attending the 30th anniversary of Women Rhodes Scholars in Oxford. I will trust that the Silva programme will continue to guide me with future goals.

    Hola Laura,
How about a seminar in Baja California Sur?
I do retreats and etc. at a great resort on the Sea of Cortez.
It is beautiful here and I live here year around.
Would you like to know more about this as a Silva World Seminar?
Many people that come for the church retreats stay over for several days or come early making this their vacation also. Great way to get the world to gather here.
Let me know what you think about this.
I sure miss my monthly meetings that used to be in Seattle. Some of the Silva people from Seattle come down here to vacation in Baja and I get up there occassionally to visit with them.

Laura, how to avoid falling a sleep during the meditation? Thanks.

  28. Ireland
    March 21, 2008 | 5:46 pm

I had got home late and felt too tired to go to beta. I thought I would just fall a sleep. As soon as I got to beta I seen a far away door so I tried to focus on it and I could see a bright three d dimensional red heart on the door. it stood out because everything else was in black and white. It bounced off the door like it was alive and the door opened. I could see a shadow of a man. it startled me and I loss site of it. So I tried to find the spot again and I did and this time I brought it closer by focusing on it. As the shadow of the man got closer it scared me again and was not sure if I shoud go there. At the time I did not connect anything. In the morning I started thinking of the heart on the door and then the man coming closer and was this some sort of answer to my soul mate? I had not ask any questions at beta, I had not even had time to ask but it had been on my mind lately. I am not sure what to think? this has never happen to me and I am very new to going to beta. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

Since I took Silva courses from 1972 on, it has been thefoundation of my religious beliefs. I use it all the time, but even then, not so often and in such a way as to be enough. In other words, it is one thing to know the truth involved in Silva teachings, and to carry that truth with me at all times, but it is still another thing to practice, to develop onesself in various skills. The Silva method is beautiful to know, but the turth is that it is WORK as well. One must keep growing in it, must keep becoming and becoming. the motto “better and better” is not just a reply to make to others. It is the essence of the course and the Silva thinking. I believe, too, that Silva Method is not something static or totally individual within one’s self, but it thrives on contact with other persons as well. It is a way to live and a way to interact, and a way to learn. That is why a network of Silva students is so very important, so essential. Just as Jose was a genius to build this course and realization, Laura, you are being a genius to build it into today’s expanded world, so that we reach out to and through others, really to make our world a better and better and better place. Thank you for contributing this to us all.

Thank you for the video clips. I wonder if there is such a thing as ‘too much’ meditation. There must be a balance proportion otherwise we will be ‘cutting out’ from this physical world if we meditation all day long. Is there an ideal model to what extend we ‘should’ meditate each day?

    Hi Laura

i am a Reiki channel and have practiced Reiki and other meditation techniques for the past 14 years, just about 4 years more than the time i have been practicing Silva method when i first came in touch with the books Jose Silva wrote. i started meditating when i was 15 but was completely on my own. i never read any books on meditation or spirituality and meditated as per my own idea of what meditation means. When i read Silva Mind Control, it completely changed what i knew or understood about meditation and our minds… it was an awesome revelation for me.. more like enlightenment… when i was doing my post grad, a friend of mine and i had to go to study but she called an informed that she has a nasty stomach ache, which was pretty annoyingly frequent and due to that she usually had to get an injection of pain killer from the doctor and isn’t able to eat for some time let alone travel 50 kms to a college… without telling her i just thought of her to be healed and within 20 mins… totally unexpectedly she called and told me that the pain was totally gone, minus the injection and now she is has had a good heavy breakfast and is ready to drive down for the college and since then as long as we were together i never heard her complain of the same kind of pain!!! this was the best and an awe inspiring moment in my life which gave me the greatest thrust in my beliefs in healing anyone for anything, no matter how severe, from any distance… although it was a mix of Reiki as well but ultimately whatever name we give it, it’s the same power that drives us all!!!!
