The act of questioning is a trait exclusive to our species. We have always challenged our potential, and the possibilities that lie within. And while a great deal of these questions remain unanswered, we are slowly but surely beginning to discover answers in areas once shrouded in darkness.
And at times, some questions are best left unanswered...until the right time.
Allow me to explain. At one point in time, my father forbade me to share certain elements of the Silva Method. Practices that empower the user's mind with the ability to heal him/herself and others. Practices that allow the fine tuning of one's energy, to the point where connecting with one's higher self and creating a joy and success-filled reality becomes effortless.
Practices that, in as few words as possible, give you the power to unlock the Unlimited potential of your mind.
So why did Jose Silva not want these practices released to the public? The answer is quite simple. In the 80's, technology and human consciousness were primitive when compared to today's standards. People were much less open to ideas and beliefs that hovered anywhere outside of their comfort zones. And so my father knew that these practices, with their incredible promises and benefits, would likely have scared many people.
At the time, absorbing even the most basic elements of the Silva Method took a considerable leap of faith!
But, what he didn't stop me from was believing that anything is possible, and that the mind still holds many secrets for the betterment of humankind.
My older sister, Isabel, was the first to be trained as a psychic by my father. She has honed her abilities to the point where she can see through a person's body, and immediately detect health problems like cancer. She can find lost objects, and possesses an understanding of the world and its inner workings that go far beyond the perceived limitations of 'normal' people.
Skeptics may find this hard to swallow, but I assure you it is true. To this day, Isabel uses the power of her mind to help baffled doctors detect problems that machines and conventional analysis fail to pinpoint.

December 1982 was my first venture into Silva material. A three day seminar, that changed my life experiences and outlook. I am not surprised about this revelation by your dad, Jose Silva, because human beings were created in the LIKENESS of God. This body of flesh and bones is the main obstacle for developing the GODLINESS in us. I do belive in power of subconcious mind too but what about planetary tranist effect. Astrology is true science and it does effect on human life. So does karma too. Not going in depth i would like to mention that with auto suggestion and power suggestion only not easy to change human destiny.Every one has to pay for their Karma. If bin laden using power or auto suggestion then USA will not leave him alone and tell him you are free now and come out of caves. You know what I mean. Prove me something.
sometime back in the late 70's my mother wanted to attend a two day silva program being given in a hotel in oklahoma city. I was about 20 or so and wasn't the least bit interested but she didn't want to attend this program alone so she dragged me to this meeting with her. at first I was kinda bored but after everyone talked about who they were and what they did for a living I found out that there were several buisnessmen and doctors in attendence. well "I thought" maybe I should pay attention to what was being said. after all these kind of people were intrested so maybe there is something to this. after a short lecture "I don't remember any specifics we broke down into groups and started learning relaxation techniques..after a while they started giving us peoples name and locations and asked us if we could "see" anything wrong with these folks..after awhile I realized that there were things going on that couldn't be explained by convential means and i was hooked on the power of the mind..I was at that time able to use my new abilities fairly well but since I have let them slip some..but i firmly believe in the potential of the human mind.
I believe you, I am ready for this and I absolutely trust we can unlock that power within us and use it when needed. Very exciting!

I completely agree that while all these things are (and have always been) possible, the mainstream public wasn't ready to hear of them until recently. New discoveries in quantum physics have been more and more talked about until now, they make the mysteries of the mind more believable.
A famous teacher once said "All things are possible." He also said that, in order to make the possible manifest, faith was needed.
I love your definition of faith found in the "Life System" manual: Faith = desire + belief + expectancy. That's a great summary.
I believe that the only thing that holds us back from accomplishing anything, even so called miracles, is lack of faith. Your programs and teachings have brought me a long way toward realizing my capabilities and I'm grateful to have found you and them.

I'm not sure I agree that in the 80's we were any less capable of open mindedness- I certainly wasn't. I think our communications have opened up due to technology and that some previously far flung idealism may be getting more credit as more real and less fringe- just a little more accepted. I think associating the with acceptable practices, spirituality etc. makes it more acceptable too. I believe anything is possible.

I'm a relative newcomer to The Method and at first I was disappointed in the results, I was still hooked up onto instant gratification and instant results as pushed out by the media. I have just noticed that certain things are changing in my life, I've won the lottery twice in three weeks, very very small ammounts I must say, secondly habits I have wante dto change for years I have suddenly found the impetous and the will to do, plus I sleep better and if I wake in the night I can relax enough to sleep again in a few minutes. Plus I am appreciating more what I have done with my life.
I agree with you 100% or 200% if that was possible.
The main task to overcome however is the FALSE belief that we are sinners and something apart from God.
The feeling that we are sons/daughters of Adam and Eve and product of their sin.
It was difficult for me at the beginning, after taking the Mind Control Course in Ecuador, to grasp the Deseo, Creencia y Expectación exposed by your father at the 4th convention in Sapin.
I do not know history well enough to argue a point as to how humanity arrived at this "self-limiting" stage in our development. However, I believe the real issue is this: how does one interact/deal with the people and society around us that do not share the following belief. We are PERFECT exactly the way GOD made us and to allow that which already is to be. Then, once the mitigating negativities have been dealt with the next step is to "fly". I don't figuratively mean to fly, but to allow the spirit within to be all it was meant to be. And maybe, just maybe, to FLY as do the birds too.

I live in Rosario, Argentina, where Silva could never set a foot strongly. I went there to some lectures, but could never attend a seminar, so I read, from the early 90s, every book on silva I could read, and also took some Silva-like courses from pupils who taught mental control, as it was called. I go in and out of practice. Some things come very asy for me, remote viewing, knowing the health of someone I don't know, seeing his face and house. Other things get difficult, like conquering a bad habit or solving problems through dreams... or knowing your life purpose. I am trying the last 2, and somehow my mind drifts off. I find all your comments very interesting...

I have studied mind development since the 40's and incorporated my studies with comparative religious studies. I had my first experience at age 6 when I overcame Dyslexia with the assistance of medical professionals through mind redevelopment. Several years later, I encountered the higher source while in a state of meditative rest. This realization enabled me to consider the veracity of the possibilities beyond cognitive thought. I heard of your dads work in the fifties while researching and considering impact of Hill's "Think and grow rich" as a formula for better focusing on goals and objectives.
My religious studies focused on the words and works of Jesus as related in valid gospel manuscripts. In my study, it became apparent to me that Jesus held the key to moving forward and unblocking those toxic elements that cause us to doubt. My study eliminated the commentary of the apostles as they often failed to conform with Jesus and His example for all times. By filtering out apostolic commentary, religion and Christianity, we can more readily focus in on His blueprint for attaining human potential.
Using what I learned studying thousands of bibles from a wide variety of sources, I gained an insite into the real Jesus who was a practicing Jew, didn't advise His followers to found a new religion and whose church was people and not builldings

and certainly, some people may achieve astonishing results.
My friend and I took Silva training in the UK in about 2001.
We have never been able to make any use of anything that we paid so
dearly for, from those training days.
We remain baffled as to what we were supposed to do, and have felt no benefits whatsoever from our considerable payments.
I wrote to the Silva Organisation a few times mentioning our extreme disappointment, but have never received any response at all.

I have been using the Silva method courses for a reasonably short time, although I first learned about the system in the 70's. My results have been miraculous. In my study and research about humanity, many discoveries have been made that are simply amazing... not new... just amazing.
I have fun with my MD who used to tell me that the body can't really heal itself. After asking to recheck an earlier diagnosis, she finds she has made an "error". Diagnoses are reversed, regularly.

Jesus is an amazing source of the blueprint of human potential. By this, I do not mean church doctrine, Christianity or other peripheral readings or belief systems.
The study of precisely what Jesus said, did and caused to happen can be discovered by reading His various gospel manuscripts and developing a cross sectional picture of what Jesus really was all about. I read over 500 manuscripts in developing my position.
It is this picture that opens the door to possibilities as we reach beyond the conscious mind and expand our thinking towards the Source. This has caused me to consider that my mind could be a non physical energy based entity that is symbiotic in a relationship with my brain for the purpose of intaking sensory and intellectual stimulus.
This makes a possible case for life after death and out of body events like remote viewing. My Jesus theory is that unconditional love of others generates positive non-physical energy and evil generates negative non-physical energy. If one takes this to the quantum level the source continues to seek positive non-physical energy to balance the universe.
In healing paradigms, I think of my mind as the source operating program that controls my body through my brain which is in effect a computer with peripherals. My mind considers that it built my entire body from an embryonic state, that cuts heal and that the medicine of 25 - 50 and 100 years ago is today considered barbaric practice.
With this programming, I can conceive that in a few years people will be programming their brains with mind control programs. I program myself to consider, conceive and then believe that I do not need to wait for medicine to catch up with my mind as I can program my brain to repair, regenerate renew and or reform my body so it can continue to support my mind as it increases its movement towards harvesting positive energy for the source to use for the greater good.

In answer to how far the mind can be stretched - it is
unlimited being one and part of the Universe otherwise known as the Infinite Intelligence. These two items are All That Is, Intelligent, the Master Mind, alive as Energy and is known as Infinity itself. Our minds are to the Universe as a drop of water is to the ocean. All of the properties of the one are likened to all the properties of the other. In our viisualizing project on the screen the strength and power of All That Is and absorb thru feeling and belief the unlimited everything available to our Selves. Laura, I am a -70's Graduate of the Silver Mind Control Method. My instructors were June ( can't remember her last name, but she gave off the fragrance of roses)and Paul Grivas in NYC around West Thirty Third St where the current convention center is located. The four day seminar was an experience of a lifetime. I have used the techniques over and over for many years. The last day of the seminar we did a healing with someone whom we had not connected with during the seminar. It was an amazing experience... one of the most amazing experiences of my lifetime. Your Dad was right, anyone who I told the story too at that time thought I was nuts, however mind-body is so much better understood now that people will be more receptive to his techniques. I still can get the chills when I think about it. Everyone should experience what I did that day.

I belife I have a problem. My problem is that people told me 21 years ago that it was not possible to "breake" the diabetes syndrom. Of course I belive them. In 21 years the world did not tell me other tougths. Is i possible to fix this problem my old ant sayd to me this day? She told me to loan me money, and was so unhappy that i not is as helthy as other`s. And this sayd to me from my old ant, whoes mind is in disorder! My first contact with the Silva Life System, was in the early 70's. I believe since that first time after learning the Silva method, my life have been in auto mode. It's been a long time, and lot of the info I received, at data level, I've forgotten. But parts of my mind was still working the Silva training, without me being aware of it. I have had to solve problems in my life, which at first look, seemed impossible for anyone to solve, or even help me. But the answer would always came from within. I so much enjoy your teaching. In the past few years I have begun to rebuild a part of me that I walled off years ago after a tragic event. I now understand that the event was tragic because I saw it that way and since I had forseen the event I willfully turned off the mechanism that I used to know what was to happen in the future. i came to know about silva when i browsed books in a bookstore and found "silva mindpower techniques".
though i am not practicing it continuously, i felt bad when i was not able to help somebody or other who were ill.
as an indian, living in kerala, i am not able to have access to the seminars.
is there any way out?
Laura you asked for the truth.I have only been at this a week,with of course other distractions such as studying for an exam .I will have more time in the next few weeks to evluate this program . There is a guy I was going out with for five years and it feels like the love has faded. I am positive about every other aspect in my life but me and him. There is too much emotion involved. I really want to know how to remove the negative energies because I feel I have a negative state of mind when I am around him, and jump to conclusions which comes across as annoying. Hi Laura I am answering your request for information on any problemes with the courses. I have gone through 6 different Silva home study classes. I have noted changes in perception and possibly intuition (I am holding confirmation until I have further events to verify it). I feel that I may not be going to level fully and this maybe inhibiting my results.
I have used Silva methods for Healing with no success on a variety of injuries or illnesses. I would love to succeed with Silva and if you know of what might be holding me back please let me know. I have made a significant investment into Silva in both time and money...GOD bless JB

I took a Silva course in the spring of 1971 when I was 17in NYC.
I was able to go into my level and see the person, do lab tests to determine say diabetes and determine birth marks, amputations, very specific things.I was very excited about all of this but I had no one to share this with and the practice left me.
I am now 55 and very happy to re-establish contact. I am currently a health care provider very much with traditional medicine. I hope to embrace and open myself to greater learning. Thank you for your committment and sharing.

I read something the other day that got me thinking. It was that the logical brain (the left brain) usually overrides the intuitive brain (the right brain). That made me think that in our western educated world we are taught to override irrational thought in favour of rational thought and that this habit is what disables us from finding solutions to difficult problems later in life. I wonder if maybe this unnatural bias makes children feel unheard in a school setting and that a more holistic approach to education might correct a multitude of sins therein and thereafter. Is there a way that this could be done, do you think, without creating havoc amongst more traditional educators?
I briefly looked over some of the post. it appears that many have reached the point of not allowing the old way of bicameral mind set, to hold them back any longer.We are the god-men and women. We just need to break free from following and allow our own minds, with out limitation tobe our guides!

I was personally instructed by your father Jose Silva, in the ultra-seminar graduate courses at the time, including the "healing of hands" workshop, and I agree that at that period of time, so many people were not quite ready to accept a lot of what Jose Silva knew and teaches! It was considered "too far out" then! But now as a motivation speaker and wealth success coach, and many years of studying, researching the powers of the mind and human consciousness potential, etc., etc., and interviews and feedbacks from people around the world, from my standpoint, "until the right time" has come, is now, that you do teach and share this insights! I fully believe what you are talking about, becouse I had the experience many times of scanning a person and telling them about an ailment or a bad feeling they had. Probably not as well as your sister, but amazing enough.

We often create our own realities, in both missory and happiness. When I was a teenager a priest in my town was found to have a tumor in his lung the size of a golfball. His congrigation said a 24 hour rosery for him for 7 straight days. When he went back the next week they gave him the same x-ray and found that the tumor was gone. Concentrated prayer and love does have healing power as i have wittnessed its effects myself. Faith goes along way in achieving what a limited mind would believe to be imposiable.

I want to say that for me visulization comes very easily. I do have psychic ability (as we all do) and have begun to apply it when needed. I still am surprised or delighted by it. I have used the Silva esp system for a couple of years now. It was recomended by a neighbor. I have since been a walking billboard for the course and bought the system for my daughters birthday. While I don't sit down and meditate everyday I do go to level and use what I learned in the "short relax". I use it to lower my everyday stresses and to take away physical ailment pain such as athritis and muscular cramps without the use of drugs.
I have purchased other Silva products such as Burts mindbox, Remote Viewing and just recently the Lost Sense course. I believe I am an intuitive/empath. I purchased the course because I wanted to hone my skill as a healer, open my mind a bit wider, to send love to the universe. I choose to live with joy and happiness and to release the negativity we are all bombarded with daily. Thank you Laura for your interest.

I have purchased the Silva home study course, several of Burt Goldman's audio's and your recent "intuition" system.
I have found great peace through meditation. I am more patient with live than before as an adult.
I work with horses, which is what led me to the Silva system due to the intuitiveness of horses, and dogs. I have been working on myself to develop my intuition ability, and find that your recent system is helping significantly!
I used to think that "day dreaming" was not a positive thing, and I used to try desperatly to stop from doing that...
I realized I have been struggling to be part of the "humanity" that our society pushes, all of my life.
Now I am working my way to re-discovering and welcoming my natural abilities and it is so helpful to have your guidance!
I just wish it didn't have to take so long!

I was going on a cruise and needed a book to take to read, I found a book still in it's wrapper that I had bought 10 years earlier. I started reading and couldn't put it down, it spoke of the mind and the powerful classes your father used to take - so powerful. Hi Laura, I'm now on Day 8 of the Silva Life System course. I've been reviewing the course on my blog and at this point, I truly believe anything is possible.
Already, the course has helped me do so many things. I was taking pain killers for nerve damage and sleep. Your course has helped me to throw away the pain killers and ease the pain without them. It took a couple of days practise and now I sleep like a log every night - beforehand it was taking me hours to get to sleep.
Your course has also helped me stop smoking, even though I'd been a heavy smoker (at least a couple of packs a year) for the last 25 years.
Your teachings have been a miracle to me and I know they're going to help me achieve so much more. I'm really looking forward to learning anything else you hve to share. Thank you.

Laura, you are so correct in the work that you are doing.In the year 2012 some people believe the world will end because the myan calander did.. but in actuallity, there is going to be a mind shift..you are already experiencing it and passing it along.. in the 80's not many were ready for this including myself..my brother started taking a silver program from your father..now fast forward to the now. which is all there really is. and he no longer follows this but I on the other hand believe it holeheartedly..you can see this shift already takeing place ie the secret.. conversations with God which I have read over and over again...had I read this book years ago. I doubt if I would have finished it..but my time is now.. to evolve into the future..we will all get this eventually, some quicker than others....Loren

I love you and what you're doing Mrs. Silva. I believe very strongly in the potential of man. I always have, and recently I've engaged in the exploration of universal laws. All the laws coincide with the movement you're continuing. I am evovling and noticing the "signs" that these laws are real. Movies like the Matrix are really no joke. Yes, the truth of who and what we really are and the potential that lies within is truly almost beyond
human comprehension. It is not a case of believing but rather a case of Knowing. When we know 100% we have gone one step beyond believing and manifestation becomes almost
automatic. We know that we can see the world in front of us so that is what we do automatically. We know that after work we will go home and that our home will exist....so it does automatically. It is as easy as opening our eyes when we arrive at knowing.
I have used the knowledge and lessons from the Silva steadily for the past 18-months and benefited more than I can say. It opened my eyes and my belief system to a world where I now understand that we are beings of light and have capabilities far beyond what we think we have and are doing. I have learned remote viewing and how to mentally communicate with people I choose without mechanical communications devices. The Aborigine in Australia have never known they could note remote view and communicate. I see the world in a different light and concept and am anxiously awaiting the time the rest of mankind catches up. And to think, Jose Silva's ideas started all of this for me. Let us bring these abilities quickly to all of mankind.
I do like the Silva Method. I have been using it for a little while (about 1 year) and I have had some benefits. However, I tend to get discouraged a lot especially with my consistency. I am currently working on this and I believe that once I have mastered some of the principles, I should do better and better. I am not ready to be a silva master yet as I belive I have more to learn on the 1st series of seminars that I have purchased and attended. Once I feel I have gone through all that I need to go through and learn from the current programs I;ve attended and purchased I will be ready to go on to the higher learning of the Silva method. I do enjoy receiving your e-mails.
Silva Peaks seems to be no different from what in reality has been taught since 1966 by Jose Silva. I suppose it's just a reorganization of the original material. Jose Silva did not seem like a person who would hold anything back from us - on the contrary - he seemed like the type of individual that would offer the shirt off of his back to the advancement of society.
I took the Silva course in San Francisco in 1990. I was
amazed at how many of us could see into the human body using the Silva method. Keep doing the excercises and smile. Better and better!

The one no one can denie is there is always help available through the Sylvia Method, and questions, thoughts or expeierence can be answered. I don't know how I made it through life and the challenges I have had to face without the Sylvia Method but do know I will never be alone again through life's most toughtest times which are as the bible says "This to shall pass" and with the Sylvia Method you breeze through the storm not get crushed by it.
