The 5 Most Common Misconceptions About Meditation 3

It goes with­out say­ing that med­i­ta­tion is one of the most pow­er­ful tools that if used prop­erly, can help us achieve wealth, health and hap­pi­ness. It helps us release neg­a­tive thoughts and energy and instead, focus on joy and positivity.

It is one of the most impor­tant ingre­di­ents to a more potent Silva living.

But I have been notic­ing some gen­eral mis­un­der­stand­ings about med­i­ta­tion that I really feel I should address.

Here is a list of the top 5:

1. Stop Thinking

This is harder than it sounds I know.

It is only nat­ural, but con­trary to pop­u­lar beliefs, med­i­ta­tion is not only about com­pletely stop­ping your thoughts or com­pletely blank­ing your mind.

Dur­ing med­i­ta­tion, when you feel you mind begin to wan­der, it nat­ural, just stop and bring it back to the present and your meditation.

A good tech­nique is to ask your­self “I won­der what my next thought will be?”. Go ahead and do it. Did you notice a pause in your thoughts?

2. Med­i­tate to Escape

This can­not be a more wrong belief.  It is with med­i­ta­tion that we come face-to-face with our most inner­most fears, pain and most self­ish of desires.

When we can sit with and accept these unwel­come parts of our­selves we begin to dis­em­power them. This sim­ple act of allow­ing and accept­ing has deep sig­nif­i­cance in the process of heal­ing and liberation.

3. You Have To Sit In The Full Lotus Position

Con­trary to pop­u­lar beliefs, you do not have to sit on the floor in a full lotus posi­tion to med­i­tate. The most impor­tant thing is that you are a hun­dred per­cent com­fort­able, and in a com­fort­able envi­ron­ment which will not dis­tract your med­i­ta­tion process.

As long as you are relaxed, focus, and you keep your spine straight, your med­i­ta­tion ses­sion should be a won­der­ful and reward­ing experience.

4. Med­i­ta­tion Is Deep Relaxation

While med­i­ta­tion is very help­ful in man­ag­ing stress and help­ing us over­come ill­nesses and obtain­ing the per­fect health, its not right to reduce it to just “deep relax­ation”. To be fair, being relaxed is only one part of suc­cess­ful med­i­ta­tion, while the other half is keep­ing the mind alert.

I know this sounds con­fus­ing, but this is the tricky part of med­i­ta­tion, which you can over­come over time and with con­stant prac­tice and guid­ance from your Silva audio home study course.

5. Just Fol­low The CD

While the Silva Method pro­vides you with a step-by-step guide on how to achieve all of your desires eas­ily through a num­ber of pro­grams which we present to you in the form of CDs, you and I both know that we can­not just plug it in and leave it to do all the work.

What a sig­nif­i­cant and pow­er­ful date!

Did you know that the num­ber 9, accord­ing to numerol­o­gist, is asso­ci­ated with for­give­ness, com­pas­sion and suc­cess on the pos­i­tive side as well as arro­gance and self-righteousness on the neg­a­tive? To me, the energy that the num­ber 9 brings is all about com­pas­sion, and pas­sion and honesty.

Every­one cel­e­brated this cal­en­dri­cal anom­aly in their own spe­cial ways, from mass wed­dings to gath­er­ings and other energy-gathering activ­i­ties, so I hope you did not let this spe­cial day pass you by with­out cel­e­brat­ing it because this is the last set of repeat­ing, single-digit dates that we will see for almost a century…

Isn’t that some­thing to think about.

So why not take the time today to raise our level of con­scious­ness yet again, and come together to cre­ate a strong mass of spir­i­tual, heal­ing and pos­i­tive energy in meditation?

The recent reces­sion really affected most of us, and it really sad­dens me to watch those I love and care for get­ting so hurt by it.

But a lot of peo­ple do not under­stand that they are the result of their own thoughts, that they cre­ate their own real­ity and that they are the ones in com­plete con­trol of their own destiny.

I recently went through this expe­ri­ence with my best friend, but we man­aged to turn her life around and now she is liv­ing the life that she has always wanted.

How I Healed My Husband — And Baffled The Doctors 2

Recently my hus­band, quite sur­pris­ingly, fell ill and was admit­ted into the hospital.

We were very wor­ried for him, as his fever, which ear­lier sub­sided, came back with a vengeance and his tem­per­a­ture was higher than ever.

The doc­tors told us that he had con­tracted a bac­te­r­ial infec­tion and would most prob­a­bly stay in the hos­pi­tal for quite some time. I did the best thing for him that I could — I con­tin­ued doing energy passes, even though the doc­tors said that I was “inter­fer­ing” with his heal­ing process.

But my energy passes must have worked because in a few short days, my hus­band recov­ered com­pletely, which truly baf­fled the doctors!

This inci­dent left me full of grat­i­tude for life, for our wealth in health and hap­pi­ness. I was on a roller-coaster of emo­tions dur­ing those few days and I man­aged to record them into my per­sonal jour­nal — which I have decided to share with all of you here.
